Great segment on the radio, Scott and I love what you said about communication rather than “discipline” which by the way means “to train by instruction”. Unfortunately some people translate that into “to punish” or “to hit” which in my opinion only instills fear and breaks down communication and trust. We never once hit our children and I’m very proud of the motivated young adults they have become and the close relationship we have.

Thank you for showing parents, and particularly the fathers, who sadly have often been given the title, role and expectation of disciplinarian. I am so grateful the times are a changin’ and we have mentors like you to lead the way!
